Fundraising Campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

I’m truly honored to have been picked by my good friend and President of the SFTA (@soflatech), Tammy Kennedy, to be part of her Team to help raise funds on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of South Florida ( Cancer and specifically LLS impacts virtually every one of us one way or another and as part of giving back to the community, I’m working with Tammy and her Team to get this message out there.

Besides the obvious request for raising money for this critical cause, we are also looking for volunteers who are interested in joining the team to assist us at events including of course SFTA Events as well as other fun things that we have coming up over the next few weeks, so please contact Tammy or myself if you are interested in helping us out.

Something that I learned about LLS (amongst many other things) is that every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Unlike other cancers, you cannot screen for or prevent most blood cancers. The only solution is to focus and fund on cures, so your support is more critical than ever from this dreaded disease.

I have included several videos from last week’s LLS Event Kickoff where Tammy was introduced along with other LLS Man and Woman Nominees of the Year for 2018 along with Students of the Year, who have raised over $100K alone over the past weeks, so if they can do such a great job, so can us adults. I also included a video that I saw this morning on ESPN, which featured a beautiful 5-year-old child diagnosed with this awful disease and how the Pittsburg Sports Community has gathered together to help in her recovery. This video will not leave a dry eye in the house and if that is all you decide to view, we hope that it gets the point home that none of us are excluded, regardless of age.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out as we want to support Tammy and the LLS Society of South Florida in their efforts to eradicate Leukemia and Lymphoma in hopefully all of our lifetimes. Here are links to LLS South Florida for additional information:

Thanks! Glen
